The Moodle e-learning platform, developed by the "Asociatia Zona Integrare Europeana", is an example of innovation in adult education, directly addressing the needs of seniors. This project, carried out between November 2023 and May 2025, included the participation of three partners from Spain, the Netherlands and Romania, working together to create an adapted and accessible educational environment.

Stichting CODINE (Netherlands): Project Coordinator, with experience in project management and extensive knowledge of the adult education landscape in Europe.

Association 'European Integration in the Field of Youth, Sport, Volunteering and Active European Citizenship' (Romania): Brings knowledge of the Romanian context and experience in working with adults and seniors.

ASSOCIATION DE COOPERATION AL DESAROLLO ABARKA (Spain): Experience in addressing the needs of marginalized communities and developing innovative approaches in education and training.

Using Moodle, an open, adaptable platform, "Asociatia Zona Integrare Europeana" implemented an educational system that facilitates learning, and is personalized to match the pace and learning style of each senior. Through its design, the platform allows the introduction of art workshops, art therapy and gamification, making the learning process not only efficient, but also enjoyable and engaging.

The combined expertise of volunteer psychologists, IT specialists and adult education trainers was crucial in forming a platform that truly responds to the needs of seniors. This collaboration allows the exchange of knowledge and pedagogical methods between professionals.

One of the main advantages of the platform is the ability to adapt to various educational needs. During the implementation period, each workshop will be tested and adapted to ensure the best learning experience for seniors. This process will also include studies to better understand the characteristics and abilities of seniors.

The impact of this platform extends beyond the project period. The learning materials, developed to be attractive and valuable, help to maintain a constant motivation among seniors. Furthermore, by creating a stimulating learning environment, it significantly contributes to social inclusion and combating isolation, important aspects for the well-being of seniors.
